The theory of inventive problem solving, TRIZ, is a system of assumptions, rules, methods, and tools for an innovative system improvement of, for example, products, processes, services, or organizations. This standard provides explanations of a selection of TRIZ elements which mainly relate to the description in a simplified representation (model) of a situation which is to be improved.
