The VDI 4682 series of standards provides assistance in the drafting of a service contract and information on the nature, form and scope of the service work. The users of this standard are operators, manufacturers, service providers and designers of heat and electricity generating facilities. The standard applies to service work performed after commissioning of the plant.
This standard contains a checklist for general service work, applicable to all heat and electricity generators. Checklists for service work related to specific technologies are presented in the following parts of the standard, and are to be used in combination with the checklist published here.
