Dieses Dokument legt die funktionellen Anforderungen für 4 Typen und 2 Größen (siehe Abschnitt 3) und die sicherheitstechnischen Anforderungen (siehe Abschnitt 4) für Fußballtore fest.

Es gilt für Fußballtore für Training und Wettkampf in Freisportanlagen und Hallen.

Die folgenden Fußballtore sind ausgenommen:

a) EN 16579: Tore mit einer Größe von 5,00 m × 2,00 m und 7,32 m × 2,44 m und mit einem Gesamtgewicht von ≥ 10 kg und ≤ 42 kg (Gesamtgewicht beinhaltet Netz, Netzbefestigungen und jedes dauerhaft angebrachte Verankerungs- oder Stabilisierungssystem);

b) EN 16664: (Leichtgewicht-Tore).
