The Nondestructive Inspection (NDI) Program Plan will be applicable to any system acquisition that includes a requirement for an NDI program and shall be used for structural components for aircraft, missiles and related systems and critical components produced by the contractor, subcontractors and suppliers. The NDI program plan shall address all phases of the system lifecycle to include NDI requirements during development, test, demonstration, production and sustainment phases.

This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format, content, and intended use information for the data deliverable resulting from the technical requirements described in 5.1.6 of MIL-STD- 1530 (USAF), Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP).
