scope:

This Practice describes the standard arrangement for LRVPs and systems employing LRVPs. This Practice provides a framework for specifying a skid mounted LRVP system "package," for vacuum pump systems with drivers less than or equal to 150 kW (200 hp). This Practice can be applied to simple once-through arrangements, partial recirculation, and total recirculation systems.

Comment: This Practice can stand alone or be used in conjunction with API 681.

A liquid ring vacuum pumps data sheet, RESP004-D/DM, is included with this Practice. This data sheet may be used to communicate purchaser requirements; however, supplemental information may be necessary to fully define process requirements.
