Introduction
This Track Work Instruction covers the maintenance of track that has rail fastened directly to a supporting structure without transverse sleepers or baseplates.
Examples of situations covered include:
• Pit roads
• Elevated drop roads
• Washing/fuelling aprons
• Slab track
• Bridge decks
