Introduction

This Track Work Instruction covers how to inspect a culvert. The purpose of this inspection is to confirm that a culvert is working correctly i.e. carrying water from one end to the other unobstructed.

This is not a structural examination, but there will be signs that need to be noted so that qualified examiners can be brought in to detect structural problems.
