The UPnP-QoS specifications are designed with a network in mind that consists of a single IP subnet. Therefore routing between devices in the network is out of scope for UPnP-QoS. The UPnP-QoS specifications support QoS setup for all traffic streams and UPnP-AV traffic streams in particular. The UPnP-QoS specifications also support QoS management on the LAN for traffic streams originating from or terminating in a WAN.
