scope:
This International Standard specifies a method for determining the tensile properties of film or sheeting less than 1 mm thick in the form of standard test specimens, tested under defined conditions of pretreatment, temperature, humidity and speed of testing. Different speeds of testing are specified to suit the different materials to which the method is applicable. It is not possible to make valid comparisons between the results of tensile tests if the rates of straining are different.
