scope:
This European Standard gives the forms of products which are currently available for wrought aluminium and aluminium alloys, for each major field of application. It applies to aluminium and aluminium alloys with the chemical compositions specified in EN 573-3. CEN/TC 132 affirms it is its policy that in the case when a patentee refuses to grant licences on standardised standard products under reasonable and not discriminatory conditions then this product shall be removed from the corresponding standard. It uses the four-figure numerical and the alternative chemical symbol based alloy designation systems specified respectively in EN 573-1 and EN 573-2.
