Air quality - Workplace atmosphere - Determination of the concentration of arsenic in particulate matter by atomic absorption spectrometry after active membrane filter sampling

inactive, Most Current
Organization: NEN
Publication Date: 1 June 1990
Status: inactive
Page Count: 4
ICS Code (Workplace atmospheres): 13.040.30
scope:

This pre-standard describes a method to determine the concentration of arsenic in workplace atmosphere, using active membrane filter sampling and atomic absorption spectrometry (graphite furnace technique). The pre-standard applies to the determination of the concentration of arsenic that occurs as dust or smoke in particles with an aerodynamic diameter of at least 0.3 µ g/m3 . The total quantity of dust per filter is not allowed to exceed 2 mg. The method is not suitable for the determination of volatile arsenic compounds.
