scope:

This European Standard specifies product characteristics for plastics pipes and fittings for pressure applications for water supply, drainage, sewerage and irrigation with the exception of water intended for human consumption. Pipes and fittings covered by this standard are intended to be used for buried or above-ground conveyance of water, waste water, water for general purposes, vacuum-operated soil and waste conveyance, for both outside and inside buildings. It gives the associated test/assessment methods. This standard does not cover valves, adhesives, joint sealings and gaskets.
