NEN-EN-ISO 10351

Determination of the burning behaviour of specimens using a 500 W flame ignition source

pending, Most Current
Organization: NEN
Publication Date: 1 August 1997
Status: pending
Page Count: 17
ICS Code (Plastics in general): 83.080.01
ICS Code (Ignitability and burning behaviour of materials and products): 13.220.40
scope:

Specifies a small-scale laboratory screening procedure for comparing the relative burning behaviour of small specimens of plastics and also their resistance to burn-through when exposed to an ignition source of medium energy level (500 W flame). This method is applicable to both solid materials and cellular plastics materials with a density of 250 kg/m3 or greater when determined in accordance with ISO 845. This method is not applicable to materials that shrink away from the applied flame without igniting for which ISO 9773 should be used for thin materials of this sort.
