This standard describes methods for sampling cigarettes and analyzing cifarette smoke as far as it concerns the determination of the yields of condensate and total alkaloids, calculated as nicotine, by means of an analytic smoke machine. This standard applies to machine produced cigarettes in the case of: product research of cigarette brands available on the Dutch market; internal production control; checking of observance of the legal regulations with respect to the Cigarettes and shag designation decree and similar rules.
