Deals with factory made Structural Sealant Glazing for use primarily in building facades; where the structural seal does not support the weight of the glass. This Part together with Parts 1, 2 and 3 of this standard cover the methods of glazing in a controlled environment to prepared frames using suitable materials and methods of assembly, all set out in this standard. This standard does not cover the use of patterned glass, wired patterned glass and polished wired glass. Other exclusions: glass on which the structural seal adhesion surface is sand blasted, acid etched, silk screen printed or opacified.
