This standard describes principles and methods for the assessment of airborne biocontamination in zones at risk. Techniques for the qualification of a sampling device are given in annex A and suitable culture media for sampling are described in annex B. The techniques described in this standard cannot be used to acces or monitor the total number of airborne micriobial (viable or non-viable) nor as a means for the validation of air treatment processes.
