scope:

Provides the definition of the Syntax and Service Report Message (CONTRL) to be used in electronic data interchange between partners involved in administration, commerce and transport. CONTRL is a message syntactically acknowledging or rejecting with error indication, a received interchange, functional group or message. A CONTRL message can be used to: a) acknowledge or reject a received interchange, functional group, or message and list any errors contained therein, or b) indicate only the receipt of an interchange.
