This standard applies to rigid synthetic materials, thermoplastic or thermosetting, reinforced or not, used for manufacturing: - low voltage service line and network switchgear and controlgear, - accessories for low voltage overhead insulated cable network, used in low voltage public distribution. This standard establishes a test code for specifying a material identification data sheet and for proceeding to testing. With this object, this standard: - indicates the acceptable tolerances regarding the values of various identification characteristics, - specifies requirements for functional tests, - establishes a classification of equipments by group, - establishses a list of tests for each equipment group, according to clause 4. This document does not apply to elastomers.
