scope:
This standard is applicable to equipment intended for continuous monitoring of iodine in any gaseous form in gaseous effluents discharged to the environment. It is applicable to equipment designed to fulfil the following functions: - the measurement of the content of iodine in the gaseous effluents at the discharge point and its variation with time; - the actuation of an alarm when a predetermined concentration of iodine or a total activity of discharged iodine in the gaseous effluent is exceeded. The equipment may also be used for the determination of the iodine activity discharge over a given period.
