scope:

This standard discusses the design, the material, the construction, the installation, the testing and the maintenance of gas transport and distribution systems of ductile cast iron with a working pressure over 1 bar up to and including 8 bar. The standard applies to: a. general public safety; b. the safety of employees as far as it is affected by the design, the quality of the materials used, the realization of the construction and the requirements concerning the testing and maintenance of gas transport and distribution systems. This standard applies to transport and distribution networks for flammable gases or gas mixtures suitable for household and/or industrial use.
