Is applicable to dry-cleaning machines of all sizes intended for the cleaning of articles made in textile, leather, furs and skins, using perchloroethylene as solvent. Some types of ironing and fusing presses being equally used in the drycleaning and industrial laundry business are dealt with in ISO 472-1 and -6. Covers all significant hazards arising from the use of the machine with special emphasis on perc hazards. "Use of the machine" comprises both intended use and reasonably foreseeable misuse. Applies primarily to machines manufactured after the data of issue of the standard.
