It descibes the typical construction of vortex shedding flowmeters and identifies the need for inspection, certification and material traceability. It also provides technical information to assist the user in selecting and applying vortex shedding flowmeters, and provides calibrations guidance. It explains the relevant terminology and describes test procedures, together with a list of specifications, application notes, and equations with which to determine the expected performance characteristics.
