Specifies the test methods and procedures required to carry out measurements of the TFC characteristics specified in EN 753-1:1997 and EN 753-2:1997. Many of the standard methods available for checking physical properties of base materials are intended to be applied to samples cut from continuous material or large sheets. Within the scope of EN 753 ,however, it shall be clearly understood that all requirements of EN 753, unless explicity stated otherwise, apply to finished cards. The test methods described in this standard are to be performed on separate samples. It is not intended that any individual card should pass through more than one test procedure, unless explicity stated.
