NEN 6434

Water - Determination of selenium content by atomic absorption spectrometry (hydride generation technique) - Destruction with nitric acid and hydrochloric acid

inactive, Most Current
Organization: NEN
Publication Date: 1 September 1993
Status: inactive
Page Count: 4
ICS Code (Examination of water for chemical substances): 13.060.50
scope:

This standard describes a method for the determination of selenium content of water by atomic absorption spectrometry. The standard is applicable to solutions from which particles bigger than 0,45 µm are removed. The detection limit depends on the used equipment; in general determination of selenium content from 0,6 µg/l is possible. The determination can be influenced when the cencentrations of the following elements in the sample are more than: As from 80 µg/l, Sn from 250 µg/l, Fe from 200 mg/l,Cu from 8 mg/l
