scope:

Specifies the methodology for testing bar code symbols for conformity with the symbology specification; - defines a range of quality grades based on the measurement of specific attribitues of the symbol; - gives information on possible causes of deviation from optimum grades to enable users to take appropriate corrective action. Applies to those symbologies for which a European Standard has been drawn up and its methodology can be applied to other symbologies for which a reference decode algoritm has been defined, including both linear and multi-row symbologies.
