This standard - establishes a system of graphic symbols, intended for use in the permanent marking of textile articles, providing information essential for their proper care; - specifies the use of these symbols in care labelling. The following treatments are covered: washing, chlorine-bleaching, ironing, dry-cleaning and tumble drying after washing. This standard applies to all textile articles in the form in which they are supplied to the consumer.
