This European standard gives the basic rules for industrial X- and -radiography for flaw detection purposes, using film techniques, applicable to metallix materials. The examination shall be carried out by competent personnel qualified and certified according to a system agreed upon by the contracting parties. It does not lay down acceptance criteria of the imperfections but it gives general radiographic techniques to be used.
