This draft proposal specifies a laboratory test method that enables an assessment to be made of the resistance to permeation by chemicals afforded by gloves materials, used occupationally. The test method is only suitable for testing materials, that pass the penetration test (Part 3 or 4). The method assesses the breakthrough time under laboratory conditions. It also enables observations to be made of the effects of the test chemical on the material under test.
