This standard gives guidance on the writing of the technical specifiation for the procurement of high pressure piping systems, excluding valves, such as those listed below and covers the scope of supplies and services required. The piping systems envisaged are: a) Live Steam Lines b) Hot Reheat Lines c) Cold Reheat Lines d) Feedwater Lines e) HP Spray Water Pipes f) Pump Minimum flow and Balancing Leak Off Lines g) Auxiliary Steam Supply Lines h) Condensate Lines i) Safety Valve Discharge Pipework j) Bleed Steam Pipelines k) Steam and Feed Drains and Warning Lines. The Purchaser may extend the applicability of this standard to piping systems not mentioned above. Boiler and Turbine integral pipework systems are outside the scope of this Guide although some requirements may be applicable. The requirements for piping systems for Nuclear Power Plants are not covered by this Guide.
