scope:

Applies to the equipment for charging electric road vehicles (EV) at standard AC supply voltages up to 690 V, as per IEC 38, and at DC voltages, and for providing electrical power for any additional services on the vehicle if required. The aspects covered include: -characteristics and operating conditions of the supply device - connections of the vehicle - operators and third party electrical safety - characteristics to be complied with by the vehicle with respect to the AC/DC electric vehicle supply equipment.
