This standard is applicable to computer systems hardware for systems important to safety used in nuclear power stations. It is therefore applicable to safety systems and in general to safety-related systems (see Safety Guide 50-SG-D8 of the IAEA, figure 1). Some requirements may not apply to safety-related systems.
