This report is intended to provide supplementary technical information for IEC Publications 411: Single-phase Traction Power Convertors, and 411-1: Power Convertors for Electric Traction, Part 1, Single-phase Power Convertors using single-phase rectifier circuits for electric rolling stock. The main purpose of this report is to calculate power quantities such as power factor, displacement factor and low order harmonics. Therefore, the equivalent circuits proposed on the a.c. side may be insufficient in the case of higher harmonics.
