scope:
Specifies the constructional and test requirements for handheld and hand-operated electrostatic spraying apparatus and associated apparatus which can be used to spray flammable liquid coating materials, flammable coating powders or flammable flock in spraying areas which may or may not contain flammable adhesives. These spraying devices are considered to be apparatus of category 2 in accordance with Directive 94/9/EC for use in potentially explosice atmosphere.
