Covers signs installed in the movement area to provide pilots and vehicle operators with information. The standard is applicable to signs with built-in illumination arrangements using tungsten filament, tubular fluorescent and other discharge lamps on supply voltages not exceeding 1000 V. The standard shall not apply to non-illuminated signs or signs illuminated by external light sources.
