This part of ISO/TS 29002 specifies a conceptual information model for a dictionary of concepts and their defining terminology and an Extensible Markup Language (XML) format for exchange of terminological information about concepts. The viewpoint of the conceptual model is concept-centered. The conceptual model is in Unified Modeling Language (UML). The XML format is suitable for retrieval of concept terminological information via the Terminology Service, one of the concept dictionary resolution services (CDRS) defined in ISO/TS 29002-20. The following are within the scope of this part of ISO/TS 29002: conceptual model for dictionaries of concepts and their defining terminology; exchange format for terminological information that can be fetched via CDRS. The following are outside the scope of this part of ISO/TS 29002: exchange format for complete dictionaries; EXAMPLE ISO 13584-32 contains such a format. conceptual model and exchange format for characteristic data.
