Sludge - Determination of dewaterability by the MFT-method

inactive, Most Current
Organization: NEN
Publication Date: 1 January 1988
Status: inactive
Page Count: 4
ICS Code (Liquid wastes. Sludge): 13.030.20
scope:

This standard describes the MFT-method to determine the dewaterability of sludge in vacuum filtration, expressed as the MFT-% d.m.(MFT = Modification of the Filtration Test, d.m. = dry matter). The required amount of undissolved components in the sample depends on the purpose of the examination. The method described has been developed to characterize the dewaterability of sludge and to select polyelectrolytes for the purpose of dewatering with a pulp-drying machine.
