Industrial-process control valves - Part 2-3: Flow capacity - Test procedures

inactive
Organization: NEN
Publication Date: 1 March 1998
Status: inactive
Page Count: 66
ICS Code (Pressure regulators): 23.060.40
scope:

This standard is applicable to industrial-process control valves and provides the flow capacity test procedures for determining the following variables used in the equations given in IEC Publications 534-2: Industrial-process Control Valves Part 2: Flow Capacity Section One - Sizing Equations for Incompressible Fluid Flow under Installed Conditions, and 534-2-2: Part 2: FLow Capacity, Section Two - Sizing Equations for Compressible Fluid Flow under Installed Conditions: a) flow coefficient C; b) liquid pressure recovery factor FL; c) combined liquid pressure recovery factor and pi ping geometry factor FLP; d) piping geometry factor F P; e) pressure differential ratio factors χT and χTP. Test procedures are not given for the liquid critical pressure ratio factor FF, and Reynolds number factor FR ; however, comments regarding their determination are included.
