This standard is applicable to current and voltage transformers. The object of this standrad is to describe a routine test. The measurement of partial discharges should be carried out as an acceptance test only when arranged between the manufacturer and customer. This standard can be applied to unconventional systems (e.g. gas-filled or gas-immersed) for which less experience is available than for the conventional systems, but their permissible discharge levels shall be subject to agreement between manufacturer and customer.
