This standard applies to radio transmitters. The methods specified in this standard do not apply to transmitters in which the aerial cannot be disconnected or disabled and replaced by a test load; for example, small battery-powered transmitters and transmitters for personal use. Also, unless otherwise stated, the methods do not apply to transmitters intended to be connected to an open wire feeder line, whether balanced with respect to earth or not. This particular standard describes the conditions and methods to measure unwanted radiation originating from sources other than the aerial or aerial system of radio transmitters.
