The purpose of these rules is to indicate the manner in which information contained in IEC Publication 341-1, Push-Button Switches, Part 1: General requirements and Measuring Methods, shall be incorporated in subsequent specification sheets for push-button switches of the multi-cell type. The object of any detail specification sheet is to describe a particular multi-cell push-button switch in such a manner that its physical, electrical, visual signalling, climatic and mechanical parameters are fully defined. It should state the tests which are appliable to the application for which the switch is classified.
