NEN 10393-5

Potentiometers - Part 5: Sectional specification for single-turn rotary low-power wirewound and non-wire-wound potentiometers - Selection of methods of test and general requirements

inactive, Most Current
Organization: NEN
Publication Date: 31 July 1979
Status: inactive
Page Count: 68
ICS Code (Potentiometers, variable resistors): 31.040.20
scope:

This standard relates to single-turn rotary low-power wirewound and non-wirewound potentiometers with a rated dissipation normally smaller than 10 W, intended for use in electronic equipment. Power, precision and preset potentiometers and other potentiometers of basically different design are dealt with in separate sectional documents. The object of this standard is to prescribe preferred ratings and characteristics, to select from IEC Publication 393-1 the appropriate methods of test and to give general performance requirements for potentiometers falling within its scope. Test severities and requirements prescribed in detail specifications referring to this sectional specification have to be of equal or higher performance level, because degradations are normally not permitted.
