This standard applies to electric clothes washing machines to water extracting machines and to washing and water extracting machines, either with or without heating devices, for household use. Also applies to combinations of these machines with heated driers. States and defines the principal performance characteristics of household electric washing machines of interest to the users, and describes the standard methods of measuring these characteristics.
