This European Standard specifies the sizes, dimensional tolerances, mechanical, physical and chemical requirements, surface quality requirements and marking of ceramic tiles. It is applicable only to extruded ceramic tiles with a low water absorption (E≤3%) according to Group AI of EN 87, for interior and exterior use on both floors and walls in all climatic conditions. This standard applies only to extruded ceramic tiles of first quality.
