scope:
This standard specifies a method for the measurement of the electrical conductivity of all types of water. Electrical conducivity can be used to monitor the quality of a) surface waters; b) process waters in water supply and treatment plants; c) waste waters. The completeness of analysis for ionic constituents can be checked using this method. In some cases absolute values are important, in other cases only relative changes of concern.
