This standard is to be used in conjunction with the last edition of IEC 335-1 and its amendments and was established on the basis of the third edition (1991) of that standard. The clause of part 1 apply except of the replacements, deletions, additions and amendments given. A general guidance and rationale for the requirements of this particular standard is included in annex AA. Telemetry monitors, ambulatory monitors and other recording devices are outside the scope.
