scope:
Applies to equipment intended for use in, on or in association with boilers with a maximum pressure rating of 2000kPa (20 bar), for houshold and similar use. Equipment not intended for normal houshold use, but which may be used by the public, e.g. by laymen in shops, in light industry and on farms, is within the scope. Is also applicable to controls for appliances within the scope of IEC 335-1 and individual controls utilized as part of a control system.
