NEN-EN 1253-4 classifies access covers according to their loading strength and specifies requirements relating to their design, construction, marking, testing and evaluation of conformity. This European Standard classifies and specifies requirements for factory made access covers used for drainage systems inside buildings. This European Standard does not apply to access covers intended for external use which are covered by EN 124 series.
