This standard applies to reserve fuel jerrycans (referred to below as canisters), with cap, pouring spout and associated seals, which - have a nominal capacity up to 20 litres, - are manufactured from polyethylene thermoplastics by means of blow moulding, - are exclusively intended for private use in automobiles and machinery for the storage of gasoline and diesel fuel.
