scope:
This standard applies to high-purity germanium detectors for X and gamma radiation. To establish test procedures, in addition to those in IEC Publication 430, Test Procedures for Germanium Gamma- ectors, specially applicable to high-purity germanium detectors. It is not mandatory that all tests described herein be performed. However, such tests as are carried out on completed devices shall be performed in accordance with the procedures given herein.
