scope:
Specifies the main dimensional and design characteristics, ratings, test methods and operational requirements of swap tanks to be used within domestic and international multimodel traffic by road, rail, short sea, inland waterways, Ro/Ro, or ferry transport. Swap tanks are not intended for intercontinental deep-sea traffic. Except where otherwise stated, the requirements of this standard are minima for design and maxima for operation.
